Let’s talk Hormones

God designed the human body with intricate detail, including the endocrine system, which regulates hormones. These chemical messengers play a crucial role in maintaining health and well-being, affecting everything from mood to metabolism. Acknowledging this design leads to a deeper appreciation of our bodies and a responsibility to care for them as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Hormonal imbalances can affect women in various stages of life, leading to symptoms like fatigue, weight fluctuations, mood swings, and more. Understanding these challenges is the first step towards managing them. By acknowledging that our bodies are fallen and subject to the effects of sin, we can approach our struggles with grace and seek solutions that honor our bodies’ design.

1.   Prayer and Trust in God: Prayer can be a powerful tool for peace and healing. Trusting God with our health challenges reminds us of His sovereignty and care for every aspect of our lives.

2.    Biblical Wisdom on Health: The Bible offers wisdom on living a life that promotes health and well-being. Proverbs 3:7-8, for example, encourages us not to be wise in our own eyes but to fear the Lord and turn away from evil, promising that this will bring health to our bodies.

3.    Seeking Godly Counsel: Consulting with healthcare professionals who respect both medical science and faith-based values can provide holistic care. It’s important to seek advice from those who acknowledge the Creator’s design in their approach to health.

4.     Finding a really good naturopath is the start of healing internally. There are so many natural ways to balance your hormones. One way is to start intermittent fasting. You would be surprised how this works wonders.

I would recommend using a progesterone cream. Kokoro is one of the best ones, all plant based and great for you! Get some labs drawn if you can and see what’s high and what’s low. Can your testosterone be too low ladies? Maybe to high? What about estrogen? High estrogen is very dangerous as it leads to the big “C” word. I love muscle response testing. It's a form of finding out if we are balanced in our hormones. Those trained would be able to help you. For some periods can be so painful but it doesn’t have to be. We love Vitex Berry by Gaia, it’s a natural supplement and a great alternative to birth control. You can find all this in my Amazon shop. MACA XD another miracle worker when your testosterone is too low. This is great also for men. They’re are natural options. Lastly remember your gut is your second brain, make sure you take care of your gut health.

lastly hormones that aren’t balanced, are humans that are unbalanced! We can’t ignore this.
