Eventually Excuses Run Dry…

Your season of feeling like you have been in a wilderness is over. The dry winds of no change has come to a cease. The warm air of bitterness has ended. Unforgiveness is an open door. Many have a lack of forgiveness with themselves, because of this we blame the world for all of our current faults. Why? Because we choose to use our past as a crutch. Why do we do this? Because it’s a SAFE EXCUSE as to why we do what we do.

Are you battling anger? Sadness? Depression? Anxiousness? Fear? Worry? Etc… if you are it’s because you are comfortable dealing with the dysfunction of your past. True change comes when you acknowledge your issues and choose to do whatever it takes to save yourself. Eventually, if you continue ignoring what is happening around you, you will loose people in your life. Why? Because no one will understand your triggers if you don’t speak up.

You want true healing? Find answers. Stay in your word, fast, pray, take care of your health, etc… you owe yourself true joy. You are robbing yourself of the life you have always wanted to live, in FREEDOM. For some you may feel you don’t deserve it which can come across as SELF PITY. Let me encourage you, you are a new creation. You have to believe God set you free from The bondage of your past. He has delivered you from the hands of the enemy.

The fact you are alive today means you have an opportunity to continue the work of The Lord. Self sabatoge will rise up against you. It’s you against you at this point. No one should have to pay the price for your inflictions. I don’t expect my wounds to bleed onto my husband. I also don’t expect him to clean up my wounds. That is not his job. This is between Jesus and I.  No more excuses! Today deal with your past, face a mirror and tell yourself, no more excuses.

Proverbs 24:12

Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
