The Day Of Independence

Fourth of July symbolizes the day is independence for America! How wonderful it is to live in freedom, are we truly free?

This may ruffle some feathers. I absolutely love being an American, what others may think or say this is where the Lord has placed me. Although I love America, this blog is not fully about the independence of America.

Can we just take a minute and focus on our internal freedom? Are we living in true freedom? What does this all look like? What does living and freedom look like to you?

This may seem like a ton of questions. But the reality is do you feel free? Free to be yourself? The Lord has offered us all true freedom. And some of us refuse that freedom and choose to live in the bondage of others. We live in the bondage of someone else’s thoughts about us, we live in the bondage of addictions, we live under the bondage of religious abuse, etc. The Lord gives us easy access to grab a hold of him.

2nd Corinthians 3:17 tells us, where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. The spirit of the Lord is close to all of us, we just have to grab a hold of it. Are you in your word? Fasting and praying for things we need to be in order to draw to the Holy Spirit. Your independence should clean to the spirit of the Lord and draw further away from the things of the world.

today, my prayer for you is that you find your freedom fully in Jesus.
