Embracing Our Weakness

Verse of the day:  “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

Reflection: Embracing our weakness, when Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove his “thorn in the flesh,” he received an answer that was both unexpected and enlightening. God’s refusal to remove Paul’s affliction was not a denial of relief but an invitation to experience divine power in a new way. In admitting our weaknesses, we become conduits for God’s strength, displaying not our own capabilities but His limitless power.

This divine principle turns our cultural norms on their head. Instead of hiding our flaws and struggles, we are encouraged to embrace them as the very places where God’s grace is most visible. It’s in our moments of vulnerability and dependence that we truly experience God’s sufficiency. His grace is not just enough; it is complete, perfect, and wholly adequate for every need.
