Gatherings can be either toxic or a blessing for us. The reality is, you get to choose which one it turns out to be, I know that’s a lot of pressure, but you truly do set the atmosphere. What you don’t allow will not take place, and so if that means you have to stay away from toxicity then so be it. If it means that once you walk in a room, you set the tone for a peaceful atmosphere then so be it.
You know that feeling when you’re worshiping and you just know, Jesus walked in the room? You feel consumed with love and peace. This is the same atmosphere people should feel when we walk in the room in the sense of feeling peace. We tend to point the finger at others, but have we looked at ourselves? What part are you taking? Are you the peacemaker or are you the ones starting the fires?
We have to remember if you want people to draw closer to Jesus, you have to mimic Jesus.
