In a world that constantly pulls us into what’s next or keeps us tied to what once was, learning to live in the present moment is both a discipline and a gift.
So many of us are either replaying the past—wishing we could change something—or anxiously striving toward the future—trying to control what hasn’t even happened yet.
But God… He meets us right here. Right now.
The present moment is where life is actually happening.
Not yesterday.
Not tomorrow.
Today.
Scripture reminds us in Matthew 6:34:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Jesus wasn’t just giving advice—He was inviting us into freedom.
When we live outside of the present, we carry burdens we were never meant to hold:
- Regret from the past
- Fear of the future
- Pressure to control outcomes
But when we come back to the present, we return to peace.
Let’s be real—it’s not always easy.
We live in a fast-paced world filled with:
• Constant notifications
• Endless responsibilities
• Emotional wounds that haven’t healed
Sometimes staying busy or distracted feels easier than sitting still with God.
But healing, clarity, and peace are found when we slow down enough to be.
One of the most powerful names of God is found in Scripture:
“I AM.” — Exodus 3:14
Not “I was.”
Not “I will be.”
I AM.
God exists in the present—and when we align ourselves with Him, we begin to experience His presence in a deeper way.I
He is:
- Your strength today
- Your provider today
- Your peace today
You don’t have to wait for a future breakthrough to experience Him.
