Pray Like Hannah

God is a God of yes and amen. Your plans, dreams and goals, all belong to the Lord. Whatever your heart desires He will gift you, as long as it GLORIOUS God, God will always bless it.

His promises for you, are yes and amen. Hannah cried out in the Bible for a son, she was tormented by another woman, she was heavy laden, she was discouraged, she was angry, she was hurt, she had trauma, failures, bitterness, resentment I am sure etc… how many have been here? How many have felt this?

You are not alone, if we look at her posture, we can learn a valuable lesson in how she prayed. She prayed to God, reminding God that she was God's servant and wanted but one thing only. Then she made a promise. She said: "Oh, God Almighty, if you will only see my misery and remember me by giving me a son, then I will give my son to serve you, God, for all the days of his life." Have you reminded the father? Have you gotten on your face and cried out to Him?

How about we pray like Hannah? How about we build up our faith? WHERE are you in your walk with God? Have you come to Him at all for your healing? For your troubles? For your heartache? He is clear to come to Him alllll who are heavy burdened and HE will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

Hannah’s Prayer 1 Samuel 2

Then Hannah prayed and said:

“My heart rejoices in the Lord;
    in the Lord my horn[
a] is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies,
    for I delight in your deliverance.

“There is no one holy like the Lord;
    there is no one besides you;
    there is no Rock like our God.

“Do not keep talking so proudly
    or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the Lord is a God who knows,
    and by him deeds are weighed.

“The bows of the warriors are broken,
    but those who stumbled are armed with strength.

Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
    but those who were hungry are hungry no more.
She who was barren has borne seven children,
    but she who has had many sons pines away.

“The Lord brings death and makes alive;
    he brings down to the grave and raises up.

The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
    he humbles and he exalts.

He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
    and has them inherit a throne of honor.

“For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;
    on them he has set the world.

He will guard the feet of his faithful servants,
    but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.

“It is not by strength that one prevails;

10

    those who oppose the Lord will be broken.
The Most High will thunder from heaven;
    the Lord will judge the ends of the earth.

“He will give strength to his king
    and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

11 Then Elkanah went home to Ramah, but the boy ministered before the Lord under Eli the priest.
